Practical printer cabinet design

 

Van Leeuwen Techniek realized a printer cabinet for a customer in meat processing. Van Leeuwen Techniek talks about the project: “The printer is located in the dispatch area, where stickers are printed for all products that leave the building. To keep the printer dry and free of chemicals, the customer wanted a protective cabinet built around it. The customer already had an idea for the implementation, namely that the flap at the front of the cabinet should hinge inwards.”

For example, we take hygiene into account, for example by sloping the cupboard. Stagnant water, a source of bacteria, does not stand a chance.” After the customer’s approval, production of cutting and folding parts of the cabinet began. “As soon as the custom-made parts arrive in our workshop, we assemble them and weld them completely. After welding, we glass bead the stainless steel sheet metal, a process to preserve the material. Glass beading also gives the stainless steel a beautiful, matte gray color. Then we only have to assemble the cabinet before it is transported to the customer.”
